The precursor of Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (ZXAUTO) was founded in 1949 and it is the birthplace of China's first domestically produced pickup with its own independent property rights. The great success in "forty-eight thousand eight hundred you' ll drive Tianye back home" made ZXAUTO one of the national famous car brands. In 1999 a joint venture with a registered capital of US$30 million and total assets of US$ 119 million was set up in place as the currently largest modern pickup, SUV mainstream production company with completely independent intellectual property rights and vehicle research and development capabilities.
ZXAUTO is formed up by five global vehicle manufacturing bases a product research and development center, with the current annual production capacity of 160, 000 units. The company has got stamping, welding, painting and final assembly processes, complete SUV and three sets of complete pickup body molds. Leading products include pickup and SUV in 4 major product platforms for 18 product lines, with a number of state vehicles and parts design patents. ZXAUTO selected more than 130 domestic and foreign suppliers for the establishment of a high level of global parts procurement platform. The company has a sound marketing service network, with more than 300 dealers in domestic market and nearly 400 service stations; Overseas marketing has covered up more than 90 countries and regions and in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia, overseas factories have been set up.
