Guangzhou Gypsum Products Factory

Guangzhou Gypsum Products Factory (hereinafter referred to as "GZ Gypsum") founded in March 1956 is a small enterprise with half century history and still standing among the competitive gypsum industry. In early 1990's, with the help from Hangzhou Design Institute of New Materials, "GZ Gypsum" invested nearly Eight Million Yuan (8, 000, 000.00) to build a West Germany frying pan model production line of mould gypsum powder with tens of thousand tons annual output, and developed a mechanized kiln processing line for calcining gypsums on its own, by which, it formed its production scale. However, due to the planned economy which was far from the demand of social productivity development, "GZ Gypsum" lost its advantage gradually. From planned economy to market economy, "GZ Gypsum" people suffered a lot. Nevertheless, they believe that "innovation is the source of development" and "no pains, no gains". With such faith, "GZ Gypsum" people got rid of the deficits for seven years (1990-1997) and cleared off millions of debts. Moreover, since 1998 resources are invested to develop high-tech products each year with the aim to expand the market share.

In the second half year of 1998, upon the call of the Party Central Committee, Guangzhou Gypsum Products Factory succeeded in system transformation under the direction of Guangzhou Building Materials Enterprise Group Company. With the registered capital of Four Million Five Hundred and Seventy Thousand Yuan (RMB 4, 570, 000.00), "GZ Gypsum" set up factories by joint venture or association in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, basing at East of Irrigation and Drainage Pumping Station, Tongde Wei, Shijing, Baiyun District, Guangzhou.
