Group Introduction

Headquartered in Beijing, China Metallurgical Engineering & Project Corporation (MEPC) is an international engineering and project group organization specialized in undertaking metallurgical and mining projects covering Design & Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Construction and Financing. MEPC has 7 wholly owned technology and design institutes and a number of key equipment manufacturing plants in China.

Besides MEPC, major subsidiaries in the group are: Metech STG, Italy (Milan, Brescia, Udine, Genova) CECON, India (Kolkata, Raipur, Bhilai)

MEPC is engaged in setting up long-process integrated iron & steel plants with pellet plant, sinter plant, coke oven, blast furnace and BOF, etc.; STG is good at supplying Minimills with EAF, LF, CCM and Rolling Mills; CECON is proficient in technology localization and after-sales services.

MEPC/STG/CECON facilitates integration of Chinese, European and Indian resources and expands its scope of business to cover the full metallurgy process. As a result, the group is capable of providing One-Stop Services and Integrated Solutions to steel plant owners worldwide.

MEPC has branch offices in Russia, Iran and Brazil and its own financial units in Hong Kong and Singapore to finance projects of strategic importance.

MEPC has completed over 200 overseas projects on EPS and EPC basis across the world. It was the first company exporting specialized Chinese technologies to the global market. For example, 1) it was the first company exporting Chinese patent technology and equipment on Bell-less Top Charging and Pulverized Coal Injection; 2) the first company setting up overseas Annular Sinter Plants; 3) the first company exporting 350 ton large capacity torpedo cars of Chinese make; 4) the first company exporting on exclusive basis Non-recovery Coke Oven technology and setting up a number of coke oven plants abroad, etc. 5) the first Chinese company building 1 million ton per year integrated iron-making plant in India.

MEPC is capable of providing Integrated Solutions to its customers through various professional services such as Project Consultation, Design & Engineering, Equipment Supply and Erection, Construction at Site, Technical Assistance, Project Financing, Supervision on Commissioning and Plant Operation till Attainment of Designed Capacity, etc.

MEPC is Chairman of the Specialized Committee for Metallurgical Equipment, Engineering & Technology under China Chamber of Commerce for Metallurgical Enterprises.
