MPR stands for Multimedia Print Reader. It allows the simultaneous hearing of the printed contents of a publication that a user is reading. A new type of publication has been created, which is termed as Audio-Digitized Printed Publications. Our technology have been applied to the Children's publications and language learning widely in China, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. The MPR publication works in the following way: The publisher or author records the audio content of a book in whatever manner he or she thinks will be most helpful to the readers, then MPR codes denoting the audio content are matched with the relevant words or pictures. The invisible MPR codes are then printed onto the pages of the book, and the electronic file with the audio contents is uploaded to the MPR website. Readers download the file from the MPR website into their MPR readers, and the MPR reader is ready to use with the corresponding version of the book.
